Support local this small business season
This holiday season, we’re asking for your help to highlight the power of shopping local. From November 1 to December 31, Small Business Season celebrates the businesses that keep our town thriving.
When you buy from a local business, your money stays in the community—supporting jobs, funding local programs, and strengthening our economy. Studies show that $68 of every $100 spent locally stays here, compared to less than $50 when shopping online.
Shopping local isn’t just convenient—it’s an investment in our shared success. Every business, from shops to restaurants to home-based entrepreneurs, plays a vital role.
How You Can Help
- Tell Your Story: Share your “why,” what makes your business unique, how you give back, and what inspires you. Personal stories turn shoppers into loyal supporters.
- Share your story on Facebook and tag @FMEChamber. Notify us and we’ll share your post on our channels.

 - Get Involved:
- Partner with nearby businesses to promote “Shop Local” messages.
 - Display a “Small Business Season” or “Chamber Member” sign and encourage customers to share photos when they visit.

Together, we can remind our community that every local purchase has purpose. Let’s make this season one of connection, collaboration, and community pride.
